Oh look, the CGI is still s**t.

  2. Stuntman.Kauzi says:

Wait what? Did he just piss fire?!

  3. Mr_Morbach says:

Hopefully, that’s just a stupid gag they put into the trailer.

The directors may think it’s funny. The writers may get a giggle. And maybe they’ll amuse a few people who see it. But audiences en masse will not enjoy it, and it won’t help the film at all.

it’s funny in the trailer though. got to give it that.
if it’s in the movie itself i will be…. ehhh let’s be honest, the movie is going to be so bad that a pee joke won’t ruin it any further

      • Mr_Morbach says:

I don’t know. I think Revenge of the Fallen could’ve been a lot better if they took out Sam’s mom (and in the first one). Or, for a more apt comparison, what if, in the first Transformers, Bumblebee hadn’t “leaked coolant” on Tuturro?

Granted, the movie could be bad, but putting something like that in there, when there’s no need for it…won’t help any. It’s one thing to add comedy to ease tension or what have you, but this feels very juvenile.

  4. Laxus says:

meh.. sequels always suck.. and a sequel of a movie that sucks, sucks even more.

    • Mr_Morbach says:

I don’t know about that. I mean, X2: X-Men United and Spider-Man 2 were better than their predecessors (and while X-Men 3 was bad, I think Spidey 3 is underrated). And then there’s The Dark Knight…need I say more?

I actually didn’t hate the first Ghost Rider. It definitely had it’s problems, but I’ve seen worse. And who knows, maybe this one will be good.
(yeah, I know it’s a long shot, but stranger things have happened.)

      • Pugiron says:

        You are an idiot.

        • Brian says:

The only part of his comment I disagree with is about Spider-Man 3 being underrated, everything else has pretty solid logic though.

          • Mr_Morbach says:

And you know something? I totally understand why a lot of people didn’t like Spider-Man 3. Parker as a jackass, egotistical dancing down the street…it all felt rather silly (‘course, given that Parker is a dork by nature, that his dark side would act dorky isn’t all that surprising, when you think about it). Not to mention how several aspects of the film felt rushed (Harry’s memory issues and the villainous team-up). I think they should’ve either gone with the Ultimate idea for the symbiote (cure for cancer gone wrong) or the Animated Series (specimen from space).

Someone once made a very accurate analogy that it was like a juggler with too many objects in the air; a few of them got dropped. That said, each character had a role to play in the overall meaning of the story. Sandman was a crook because he thought it’d help his kid. Brock was competitive to the point of being unethical and sleazy. Parker gave into his inner demons (with the suit’s assistance). Harry just didn’t get the whole story about his Dad’s death. Take out any one of them, and things start falling apart, and you’d need to restart from scratch (I think they wanted to add Venom because “the fans wanted it” and it was rumored for some time that 3 would be the last for Maguire and Raimi, so it was kind of “now or never”).

Now, here’s why I liked the film: It was more of a Peter Parker story; very humanizing, and we see him do something very few people in real life would do. He forgave the guy that shot his Uncle, and that showed a great deal of inner strength that, really, is a lot of what Spider-Man is all about.

BUT, people were expecting something more superhero-like, and that’s understandable. What with the superheroes and everything. Could the same message have been sent in a less hectic manner? Yeah…but overall, I like what they were trying to do.

Will Ghost Rider 2 be any better than the first? Maybe, maybe not. It could be just as silly and lame, or maybe moreso. But hey, crappy advertising gave the wrong impression about other movies (Dragonball Evolution comes to mind; not at all what the commercials made it seem).

I’m going to stop myself before I start a rant on how Superman Returns was under-appreciated.

          • LissFirefly says:

Spider-Man 3 was awful. 1: A mas change in that experiment. HUGE ASS MAN’s mass is going to be FAR GREATER than a bird. You check that crap out. 2: Gwen Stacy was NEVER a model, never that vapid, never like that. 3: Venom never turned Peter Parker into an jack-ass, it gave him gaps in memory. Venom wanted to save people, but hated Peter parker for shaking it off. It would have never put humans in danger. 4: Why did venom keep removing his face to show Eddie? The MAIN draw to Venom was his HUGE GAPING MOUTH. Spider-Man 3 was crap. I laughed when Harry hit his head when they gave that huge “BONG” sound. It was just bad. Why do you think they’re rebooting it? Because real fans of Spiderman want to pretend 3 didn’t happen.

  5. Pugiron says:

Nic Cage 4ever? How f**king stupid are you? Even if you were joking, that’s f**king stupid!

  6. Bread says:

First one sucked. Don’t have much hope for this one.

    • LissFirefly says:

At least Eva Mendez isn’t in this one. THANK GOD. The girl has a body, I’ll admit, but she has a HUGE NOSE, and she’s stupid as hell. Butter face bad actress without a brain.

If she was in the sequel, I’d avoid it, I may rent this one, just to see how awful it is.

  7. yourtrashcan says:

it would be worth watching it, just for the laughs of how bad it is.

  8. Another says:

Still not as bad as Twilight.

  9. TheBrigeedaRocks says:

Nic Cage, please stop being in movies. Especially in movies you shouldn’t have been anywhere near in the first places.

    • bipolarguy86 says:

      /\ this

    • LissFirefly says:

He is TOO OLD for this. When an actor has to have his hair line fixed wtih CGI and has to have muscles added with cgi, you KNOW he’s TOO damn old. And if that chick that says “I’m not afraid of you” is his love interest, then EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Just ew.

  10. DJ says:

These guys have never met a cliche they didn’t like.

Token Girl: “I’m not afraid of you!”

    Me: Don’t do it… don’t do it… dear god don’t do it…

    Cage: You should be.

    Me: Nnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooo… *Vader*

    • Mr_Morbach says:

I felt the same way, man. I was at least hoping they’d mix it up with “that’s your first mistake” or “what are you, stupid?”. But no. They went with the obvious.

  11. Murdoc says:

Oh sure, they can make a second Ghost Rider with Nic Cage (who doesn’t fit the character he’s playing), but they can’t use Edward Norton as Bruce Banner again. I feel so cheated. Edward Norton is amazing. I’m going to puke.

    • Brian says:

There’s a huge difference between Nic Cage and Edward Norton. Cage: Will do just about anything for a roll (he funded this one). Norton: had disputes with the team and decided not to be in it.

  12. sir sapphire says:

You had me at flaming piss.

  13. sofee says:

Honestly people. Give the movie a chance. The first one may have sucked for some people. Other people prolly enjoyed it. Just lay off and go complain about something else.

  14. SpikeGhost says:

What i want to know is the name o the song in the trailer.

  15. Shada says:

OK, someone explain how the Ghost Rider is out in direct sunlight??

The first one wasn’t too bad, I liked it. But this one in the first couple of seconds just screwed up! He can’t be the GR in sunlight! Main plot point in the first movie.

  16. ms.palm says:

How *dare* they kill my teenage-years hero by Caging him?!! Again! *runs away sobbing*
