    We’re not done! Because nobody mentioned the error! I is clearly Indiana Jones, but the scene is from Raiders of the Lost Ark, the one Indy movie that did not start with I!

    • Smogzilla says:

      What year was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom?

      • rawr says:

        1984 and Last Crusade came out in 1989. After Temple of Doom, Raiders was retro-named to be titled “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

        • rcb says:

          I agree! If you’re going with 80′s films you got to stick with the original 80′s title! the letter “I” is clearly and error on the artists part. The truth must be told!

  11. Sovengarde says:

  12. mrmrr says:

    And “Rambo: First Blood Part II” would be the full title.

    • Brian says:

      I almost corrected you and said “First Blood Part 2: Rambo”, but IMDB has a different opinion. I owned a trilogy boxed set a while ago, and the way I said it is how it was on the box.

      And upon further inspection, I’m 100% wrong. Carry on.

  13. epicbananaz says:

    B is totally Marty Mcfly. It doesn’t even look like Bender.

  14. lalunaunita says:

    I think “Highlander” would have been a better choice for H.

    “Untouchables” is fine, but I like “UHF” better!

  15. Smogzilla says:

    Z = Zelig

  16. Julia says:

    It’s “Youngblood,” not “Young Bloods.” The main character (Rob Lowe)’s name was Dean Youngblood. Geesh.

  17. ToAsT says:

    Mannequin

  18. someone says:

    I knew all of them except J, O, M, Q, T, U, X, Y, and Z. I should have known what T was though.

  19. Darkheart says:

    “I” is incorrect. The image is from “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. That was the movies actual title. “Indiana Jones” was added to the second and following movie titles but was not in the first.

    • rawr says:

      Yes and no.

      Yes, in that the film was originally released as “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and then was retroactively named “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” after Temple of Doom was released.

      However three Indiana Jones films were released in the 80s. Arguably, the scene in which Jones grabs the idol from the first film is one of the most recognizable (along with running from the boulder). The point is that it’s Indiana Jones in terms of the whole franchise, which was enormously popular throughout the decade and, along with Star Wars, launched Harrison Ford’s career.

      • Alie says:

        If I’m not mistaken they were all “Indiana Jones and the _______”. The ‘_____’ part becoming the shortened title. Yes? No?

  20. Tricia says:

    isn’t “B” Back to the Future? That really looks like Marty McFly to me….

  21. MrsAttila says:

    Can somebody please educate these kids who think that Michael J Fox was in the Breakfast Club and assure them B is Back to the Future.

  22. Dan says:

    B is Back to the Future
    Flight of the Navigator
    Mannequin
    Princess Bride
    I’m guessing Q is…Q, or Q: The Winged Serpent.
    V is possibly V, the TV movie.
    Weird Science
    Y and Z I have no idea, but Smogzilla is probably right.

  23. Glen says:

    I don’t see Evil Dead or Die Hard, I am dissapoint

  26. Katy says:

    M=Mannequin
    V=Vice Versa

  27. F- Flight of the Navigator

  28. badumtish says:

    I call shenanigans! F should be Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It is far more iconic of the 80s than Flight of the Navigator. Don’t get me wrong. I love Flight of the Navigator, but come on …

  29. Eli says:

    Princess Bride/Pretty in Pink/Purple Rain/Pee Wee’s Big Adventure; Fast Times at Ridgemont High; Willow; Quiet Earth; Valley Girl; Weekend at Bernie’s; Young Einstein;

  33. a5hrwoody says:

    I’m surprised to see no mention of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” here.
